This Report has been prepared by Ridgeway Information for the British Council as part of the scoping study on gender equality, diversity, and inclusion in East Asia higher education leaders, faculty members, and staff. The scoping study includes 12 countries and territories in East Asia: China, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam 

FIFA and AFD renew agreement to promote access to sport, gender equality and education through football

FIFA and the French Development Agency (Agence Française de Développement, AFD) have renewed their memorandum of understanding (MoU) and will continue working together to create positive change in society, with a focus on women’s empowerment and education through football. The new agreement was signed by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and AFD Chief Executive Officer Rémy Rioux in Paris, France.

Better data needed to address gender inequality in education, global experts say  

Education leaders from around the world have called for better data to advance gender equality in learning.
During a session at UNESCO’s inaugural Conference on Education Data and Statistics – which took place in Paris last week – UN officials, civil servants, academics and experts at non-profits and other organisations discussed how countries could address inequalities through data.
